Officers responded to the 500 block of S. Mesa Street to a child custody/third party threats complaint. Through investigation it was deemed that nothing criminal had occurred.

While investigating a report of a verbal disturbance, officer issued a summons to a 17-year-old female on suspicion of a minor being in possession of a tobacco product. The female was released to an adult family member.
A white Haro bicycle valued at $330 was reported stolen from the Little Salt Wash Park.
Person(s) unknown unlawfully entered a fenced back yard in the 400 block of Pisces Circle and put a pet cat into a cooler and then placed items on top of the cooler which prevented the cat from getting out. The cat was later found deceased.
Officers contacted three juveniles, two females, one male, at the Little Salt Wash Park. All three were 14 years of age and out past curfew. The juveniles were each issued a summons for curfew violation.
A passport for a male was found at Adobe Creek Golf Course and turned over to officers to be booked into lost and found property.
Two hound-type dogs were running at-large inside the Fruita State Park at 595 Hwy. 340. Animal Control responded and took possession of the dogs. Christopher Derouen was cited.
A 48-year-old male was found deceased at his home on W. Sunset Drive from a suspected suicide.
Officers received a report of a suicidal female, age 24, who had cut her arm with a knife. She was located and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Person(s) unknown entered an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Vermont Lane and stole property valued at $25.
Unknown person(s) removed welding cable valued at $750 from a pickup in the 400 block of David Court. The incident is under investigation.
Person(s) unknown unlawfully entered four unlocked vehicles in the 500 block of Quebec Court and stole property valued at less than $100.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Peter Drive on a report of indecent exposure. A 35-year-old male was given a summons for disorderly conduct for urinating in public.
Unknown person(s) removed a Circle Y saddle and a camouflage backpack from a vehicle at 1103 E. Hwy. 6 & 50. A Ruger .45 revolver and K-bar knife were inside the backpack. Total value of the theft is estimated at $1,625. The incident is under investigation.
Theft from auto occurred in the 100 block of N. Park Court. An unlocked vehicle was unlawfully entered by unknown suspects and an Ipod and docking station valued at an approximate total of $250 were stolen from inside.
A burglary occurred in the 800 block of San Gabriel Street. A garage and vehicles parked inside were entered unlawfully by unknown suspects and items valued at an approximate total of $4,400 were stolen from the vehicles.
Reported harassment occurred in the 600 block of Bayberry Court. A known male has been continually harassing the victims by repeatedly contacting them at their residence, harassing, taunting, and threatening them causing them emotional distress.
Child abuse was reported occurring in the 900 block of Celestite Drive. The case is under investigation.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Peter Drive on a report of felony menacing. The victim reported a Hispanic male in a white four-door sedan threatened him with a gun. The case is under investigation.
A man in the 100 block of Fremont Street slashed two tires on a vehicle belonging to his spouse. The damage is estimated at $550.

A 36-year-old male was arrested in the 500 block of W. Aspen Ave. for second degree assault and felony menacing after he struck a person repeatedly with a hammer causing injury. He was booked into the Mesa County Jail.
A vehicle GPS system was found in bushes on the Little Salt Wash trail behind a residence. The unit was booked into lost and found property.
