The following items were selected from reports made to the Fruita Police Department:
Two juveniles, a male age 15 and female, age 14, while at Reed Park were issued summonses into Fruita Municipal Court on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol while under 21 years of age. Both were released to their parents.
A brick was thrown at a parked unattended vehicle at in the 300 block of N. Maple Street causing $100 in damage.
A threat was reported from someone in the 800 block of W. Ottley Avenue.
A phone report was received of a theft of a debit card which was then used at the Fruita City Market in the amount of $514.52 by a known suspect. The case is under investigation.
Three juvenile females, ages 15, 16 and 19, in the 200 block of Micah Court, were issued summonses for underage consumption of alcohol and one juvenile female was issued a summons for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers responded to a reported burglary.
Officers received information regarding a possible code enforcement violation/welfare check in the 100 block of Ponderosa. The case is under investigation.
Citizen called the police department to advise of a possible welfare situation involving his child and the child’s mother.
Officers responded to a report of a found bike in the area of W. Ottley Avenue and Hwy. 6 & 50. The bike was booked as found property.
Harassing communication involving a juvenile female and an adult male was reported in the 700 block of Granite Drive. The case is under investigation.
An unattended child, approximately two years of age, in the area of the 800 block of E. Ottley Avenue, was reported. The case is under investigation.
Theft from auto occurred in the 1400 block of Satterfield Avenue, where an unknown person entered the victim’s vehicle by prying the mechanical locking mechanism on the driver’s door. Damage to the lock is estimated at $500. Nothing from the vehicle was taken.
Person(s) unknown damaged a toilet at the Little Salt Wash Park causing an estimated $1,500 in damage.
A watch valued at $250 was stolen from a residence in the 1400 block of Satterfield Avenue. There is a possible suspect in the case.
Criminal mischief occurred in the 800 block of Sabil Drive. Person(s) unknown removed the light fixtures and the concrete bases and threw them in the roadway, destroying them. Damage is estimated at $60.
Property was damaged in the 200 block of N. Plum Street when unknown person(s) drove over a lawn.
A theft occurred at McDonalds, 555 Jurassic Court. The victim reported her wallet was taken from her purse. The case is under investigation.
An adult male alleges that two weeks ago in the 200 block of N. Mulberry Street, another adult male struck him once causing pain. The investigation is continuing.
