The following items were selected from reports made to the Fruita Police Department:
An 18-year-old male was issued a summons into Mesa County Court on suspicion of disorderly conduct. A juvenile male, 16, was also involved in this incident and will also be similarly charged pending the filing of a juvenile petition. The incident occurred at Fruita-Monument High School and there were no injuries.
A phone was found at Hwy. 340 and Colorado River.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Richwood Avenue to a report of a scam involving the theft of a ring. The case is currently under investigation.
A citizen reported her grandson kept coming to her house, making threats and eating her food. The grandson was not invited nor welcome in her home.
Officers assisted Mesa County Sheriff’s deputy on a traffic stop at Q Road and 13 Road.
Three adult males were at Snooks Bottom park after hours. Two 21-year-old males and one 22-year-old male were issued municipal summons for parks – hours of operation.
Officers contacted a vehicle in the 900 block of E. Carolina Avenue for driving in the middle of the road. A 63-year-old male was arrested for DUID.
The mother of a juvenile wanted to report some incidents going on between her daughter and another girl, both at school and on the Internet. No charges were filed.
A 14-year-old boy was suspected of smoking at school, 1103 E. Hwy. 6&50, and was issued a warning.
Person(s) unknown gained access to the victim’s credit card number and made four unauthorized purchases on the Internet totaling $80. There are no leads or suspects.
Officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile male, 15, in the 700 block of E. Columbine Avenue. The boy has since returned home.
Officers took a report of a dog bite in the 1200 to 1300 block of J-6/10 Road. A dog bit or scratched a person when the person was leaning against the fence of the yard where the dog belonged.
Some stolen credit cards were found in the 700 block of E. Columbine Avenue. A 15-year-old boy was arrested and transported to the Department of Youth Corrections.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Yew Street for a welfare check.
A 14-year-old male student was issued a summons into Fruita Municipal Court on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol while attending the 8/9 School.
A juvenile found cutting classes to hang out with friends at a local convenience store was given, in cooperation with the business, a criminal trespass warning for the business at 1103 E. Hwy. 6&50.
A two-vehicle property damage accident occurred at I-70 and Hwy. 340.
Officers responded to the 700 block of N. Mesa Street to a reported harassment involving a juvenile male. The case is under investigation.
Two 17-year-old boys were issued summons into Fruita Municipal Court on suspicion of using a tobacco product in the 1100 block of Wildcat Avenue.
Officers responded to the 200 block of E. Lexington Way to a report of a suicidal female. She was transported to St. Mary’s for a mental health hold.
A 24-year-old male was issued a summons for failing to yield the right of way after officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the roundabouts.
An I-phone valued at $200 was reported stolen from the Skate Park.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Delean Way for a dog at large. A 39-year-old male was cited for the violation after his dog got into the neighbor’s yard.
Officer responded to the 200 block of W. Meadow Avenue to a domestic violence incident where a 28-year-old male was arrested and taken to Mesa County Detention Facility for false imprisonment, criminal mischief ($100), child abuse and domestic violence charges.
Officer responded to the 100 block of Pinyon Drive on a reported of vandalism. The victim reported damage to the garage door valued at $2,000.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Bonnie Vista Drive for a large fight outside in the parking lot. Upon arrival, all parties involved had fled the scene.
Officers responded to a report of $600 in criminal mischief damage of a Redbox at Walgreens.
Theft occurred in the 100 block of Heatherly Lane. The victim reported his prescription medications valued at $10 were taken from his front porch. No known suspects at this time.
A laptop valued at $500 was reported stolen in the 100 block of S. Mesa Street. The laptop was later returned to the owner.
Officer responded to a reported hit and run accident at E. Carolina Avenue and S. Pine Street. The hit and run driver was a 23-year-old male. He was located and issued a summons for failure to remain on scene, failure to give notice, and careless driving.
Theft was reported in the 400 block of Poplar Drive. The suspect took a TV set valued at $3,000.
Officers responded on a reported violation of a restraining order. A 42-year-old male was arrested for a restraining order violation. A 38-year-old female was arrested for domestic violence and third degree assault. Both subjects were transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility.
A credit card theft was reported from the 100 block of N. Mesa Street. The case is under investigation.
