The following items were selected from reports made to the Fruita Police Department:
Arson is suspected in a fire in the Little Salt Wash Park bathroom structure. Someone set trash cans on fire at the ball fields.
A rollover car accident occurred on I-70 at mile marker 21.5 westbound. Both occupants were transported to the hospital.
A 14-year-old boy was issued a summons for theft after he stole food items valued at less than $5 in 1103 E. Hwy. 6&50.
A 13-year-old boy was issued a summons on suspicion of using a tobacco product while at school at 1835 J Road. He was released to his parents.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of Buttercup Lane to a report of an unattended death. No suspicious circumstances were present.
A property damage traffic accident occurred at the Hwy. 340/I-70 roundabout.
A woman stole items valued at less than $5 from City Market and then fled the scene. The case is under investigation.
A one-vehicle property damage accident occurred in the Raptor Road roundabout.
The Colorado State Patrol requested K9 use at I-70 and mile marker 10.
An 18-year-old female was issued a summons for driving under restraint after she was involved in an accident at I-70 and mile marker 19 eastbound/Frontage Road and found to be driving on a suspended license. She was not at fault in the accident, however, The non-contact vehicle has not been located.
A black and white boys BMX bike valued at $100 was stolen at the 8/9 School, 1835 J Road.
A 50-year-old male was arrested for third degree assault and other charges after a fight with his wife in the 200 block of Arches Drive. He was booked into the Mesa County Jail.
Someone caused approximately $800 in damage to the front door of a residence in the 800 block of E. Ottley Avenue. There are no suspects at this time.
A suspicious incident was reported in the 100 block of S. Maple Street.
Someone stole a bike valued at $1,100 from the north side of the Civic Center, 325 E. Aspen Avenue.
A man caused bodily injury to a woman and another man in the 100 block of Bonnie Vista Drive. The male suspect left prior to contact by law enforcement and the incident is under investigation.
Two vehicles were involved in a non-injury traffic accident at 18 Road and Hwy. 6&50.
A 21-year-old female was issued a summons into Fruita Municipal Court on suspicion of following too close resulting in an accident at S. Maple Street and Hwy. 6&50. There were no injuries.
A warrant arrest was made at N. Maple Street and E. Columbine Avenue. A 34-year-old female was arrested on two warrants and taken to the Mesa County Jail.
A man violated two protection orders while being out on bond. The case is under investigation.
Harassment was reported in the 1100 block of E. Carolina Avenue where a man had been sending threatening text messages to a victim. The investigation is continuing.
A 16-year-old boy was issued a summons on suspicion of driving carelessly on school property.
Officers responded to the 800 block of E. Ottley Avenue for a reported verbal disturbance. A 32-year-old male was arrested on a bond condition violation and a protection order violation.
Officers responded to a verbal disturbance in the 700 block of Yew Street. A 42-year-old male was arrested for harassment and criminal tampering, a domestic violence crime.
A student at Fruita Monument High School reported threats via Facebook.
Harassing text messages were reported in the 600 block of E. Columbine Avenue.
A person rented equipment valued at over $1,000 from the Co-op at 1650 Hwy. 6&50 and failed to return it. The case is under investigation.
A liquor violation occurred at 1103 E. Hwy. 6&50. Officers arrested a 28-year-old male for contributing to the delinquency of a minor after he bought alcohol for a male juvenile. He was booked into the Mesa County Jail.
Officers contacted a vehicle in the area of N. Maple and E. Ottley Avenue for weaving and failing to stop at two stop signs. An 18-year-old male was arrested for DUI as a result of the investigation.
A 15-year-old girl was issued a summons to appear in Fruita Municipal Court for shoplifting in the amount of $1.50 at Dollar General.
Officers responded to a report of child abuse in the 100 block of Sunburry Drive. A 32-year-old female was issued a summons for child abuse/neglect as a result of the investigation.
Officer took a report of damage to a sign pole at Reed Park valued at $30.
Vandalism was reported in the 200 block of S. Mulberry Street. Someone caused approximately $200 in damage to a window.
Criminal mischief was reported in the 300 block of Arches Drive. Two rocks were thrown at the home and caused two two-inch holes in the stucco. There are no suspects at this time.
