Police Report
The following items were selected from reports made to the Fruita Police Department:
OCT. 10
Theft was reported in the 1000 block of Laura Avenue. Someone stole a blue and black Jamis bicycle from the front yard of a residence.
OCT. 18
A private property traffic accident occurred at Fruita Monument High School. An 18-year-old female was issued a summons for careless driving.
Theft was reported at City Market and a 19-year-old male was issued a summons for theft.
OCT. 20
Officers responded to Soap Creek Kennels and Family Health West Hospital after a dog bite occurred.
OCT. 21
A hit and run motor vehicle accident occurred in the parking lot of City Market. The suspect vehicle was described as a white Chevrolet pickup with four doors, rear dual tires and a baby blue tailgate.
OCT. 22
Officers responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury traffic accident in the area of the Fruita roundabouts.
A dispute involving neighbors in the 900 block of E. Ottley Avenue was reported.
OCT. 24
A 25-year-old male was issued a summons for careless driving after officers responded to Fruita Monument High School for a reported hit and run accident.
A 44-year-old male was cited for allowing her spaniel type dog to run at large in the 100 block of Bonnie Vista Drive.
OCT. 25
A 51-year-old female was cited for allowing her black labrador type dog to run at large in the 900 block of Ponderosa Drive.
A lost license plate was reported from 1102 Wildcat Avenue.
A citizen reported that she lost the front license plate off her vehicle near Aspen and Coulson streets.
OCT. 26
A report was received from the Vancouver, Wash., Police Department regarding an alleged sexual assault occurring in April 2003 on N. Mulberry Street. The case is under investigation.
A license plate was lost in the 800 block of Doug Drive.
Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 100 block of N. Cherry Street.
A 49-year-old female collided with another vehicle while traveling eastbound in the 800 block of E. Ottley and was charged with careless driving.
A 43-year-old female was arrested for DUI near Kingsview Road and Hwy. 340.
OCT. 27
An abandoned vehicle located in the 1100 block of E. Inverness Way was towed.
A property damage traffic accident occurred in the intersection of Kokopelli Blvd. and Hwy. 340. The investigation is completed and the case is closed.
OCT. 28
A wallet was lost in the area of Camilla’s Kafe in Fruita.
