The following items were selected from reports made to the Fruita Police Department:
A 56-year-old male on E. Ottley Avenuewas issued a summons into Fruita Municipal Court for criminal tampering after Patton unlawfully connected to the utility of another residence.
A 45-year-old male was arrested and charged with driving while being a revoked habitual offender after officer stopped him for driving a defective vehicle at Hwy. 6&50 and K Road.
Theft was reported in the 400 block of Hwy. 6&50. The known suspect unlawfully took approximately $10 worth of merchandise from the business. The case is under investigation.
Officers contacted a 26-year-old man at Pabor Avenue and N. Mulberry Street who was taken to Colorado West and placed on an alcohol hold.
The owner of a dog at large on Amethyst Drive and Celestite Drive was located and identified as a 22-year-old female who was issued a municipal summons for animal at large.
A Verizon Droid valued at $150 was taken from an unlocked locker at the Fruita Community Center. There are no suspects at this time.
Officers responded to a reported theft in progress in the 500 block of W. Aspen Avenue. Upon arrival, a 56-year-old male was issued a summons into Mesa County Court for false reporting to authorities. The case is closed.
A civil issue in the 500 block of E. Carolina Avenue was handled by officers.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Sierra Drive for a criminal mischief report. Someone had shot out a glass window valued at $200 on the west side of a residence. There are two juvenile suspects in the case. The parent of one of the juveniles paid for the repair. The victim refused to prosecute.
Unknown persons unlawfully entered the premises in the 200 block of Honeysuckle Circle and took property valued at $500. The case has been inactivated pending further leads.
An adult shoplifter at City Market, a 51-year-old female, was issued a summons for theft into Municipal Court. The case is closed.
Harassment was reported in the 1600 block of Hwy. 6&50. A known male subject caused the victim alarm after he harassed her at her place of employment and placed threatening posts and photos on a social network site. A 26-year-old male was arrested on charges of harassment, menacing, violation of a protection order, and stalking.
A blue and silver Schwinn bicycle was found in the 500 block of N. Maple Street.
Unknown suspects stole items valued at under $500 from the 200 block of N. Pine Street.
An unlocked vehicle was entered in the 400 block of W. Sunset Drive and items valued at $500 were stolen.
A 14-year-old boy was reported missing from the 100 block of N. Willow Street.
Officers took a report of found property at E. McCune Avenue and S. Maple Street.
