The following items were selected from reports made to the Fruita Police Department:
A rollover traffic accident occurred on I-70 at mile marker 20. A juvenile male was taken to the hospital.
A juvenile at 1835 J Road was issued a summons into Fruita Municipal Court on suspicion of trespassing at another school and being in possession of a tobacco product.
A 15-year-old boy at 1835 J Road was issued a summons for theft on suspicion of taking an iPod Touch valued at $217 from a locker at school.
A 16-year-old boy was contacted at Fruita Monument High School for being a runaway and was arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into the Department of Youth Corrections.
A 19-year-old male was observed at a location in the 1100 block of Wildcat Avenue in a possible violation of a protection order. The case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
A juvenile reported a suspicious subject while walking to school at N. Mesa Street and W. Roberson Drive. Investigation determined the activity was not suspicious.
A traffic accident occurred in the 300 block of W. Pabor Avenue. The at-fault vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle and the driver left the scene before officers arrived. The case is currently under investigation.
A suspicious package was reported at the Fruita Post Office. The case turned out to be non-criminal and the package was not threatening.
A two-vehicle, non-injury traffic accident occurred at the intersection of E. Aspen Avenue and N. Plum Street.
An unknown juvenile male unlawfully took a bicycle worth $100 from the 300 block of N. Coulson Street. The case was inactivated pending further leads.
A 22-year-old female was issued a summons for theft after Riddle concealed air fresheners in her purse and left a store at 1103 E. Hwy. 6&50 without purchasing the merchandise.
A purse valued at $100 was taken from an unlocked vehicle in an open garage in the 200 block of Vista Valley Drive. The case is under investigation.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Taurus Avenue on a welfare check.
A one-vehicle traffic accident occurred in the 400 block of N. Mesa. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of E. Carolina Avenue on a report of a protection order violation. A 26-year-old male was taken into custody and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility for violating conditions on a restraining order.
Unknown person(s) broke the rear window of a vehicle in the 600 block of Silverplume Drive causing approximately $200 in damage.
Officer responded to a two-car property damage accident at Fruita Monument High School. A 36-year-old female was issued a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.
A purse was reported lost at City Market, 135 S. Plum Street.
Persons unknown broke the driver’s side car window in the 1000 block of Cedar Way.
A known male contacted a victim 10 separate times in violation of a protection order. The case is under investigation.
A 19-year-old male was issued a summons for driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving after he was contacted for traffic violations in the 400 block of 18 Road.
Unknown suspects entered an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Quartz Drive and stole items valued at under $500.

A 13-year-old boy, 1835 J Road, was arrested for failure to comply with terms of an appearance bond on an earlier charge. He was transported to the Division of Youth Corrections facility.
Officers took a cold report of a possible assault/domestic violence incident in the 400 block of Jurassic Avenue. The case is under investigation.
A report was taken regarding an at-large Terrier type dog that attacked a Samoyed type dog in the area of Horsethief Canyon and Kings View Drive.
A 22-year-old female was issued a summons for assault after Archuleta knowingly caused bodily injury to an adult female.
Damage estimated at $450 to a sliding glass door was reported in the 400 block of Oakwood Avenue.
Officer responded to a hit and run accident in the 200 block of N. Elm Street.
A western saddle and lasso valued at $450 were taken by a known subject in the 600 block of Hwy. 340. The case is under investigation.
Person(s) unknown unlawfully entered a business at 535 W. Aspen Avenue through a roof level window. Once inside, the suspect did an undetermined amount of damage. Losses are still being assessed at this time.
A 30-year-old male was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Jail after he broke a TV set and a chair belonging to the victim, a domestic violence incident. Damage is estimated at $330.
An unknown subject unlawfully took a bottle of alcohol valued at $14 in the 400 block of Hwy. 6&50.
A wallet was found and turned in to the police department. The owner was notified and the case is closed.
An abandoned vehicle at Glen Haven Street and Windsor Park Drive was towed after the 48-hour time period elapsed.
A theft of a computer valued at $200 was reported in the 100 block of Bonnie Vista Drive. The case is under investigation.
