The following are taken from reports made to the Fruita Police:
Officer took a phone report of a known person harboring a minor in the 200 block of E. Concord Drive. The case is under investigation.
A welfare check was done at the residence of an elderly man in the 1000 block of Cedar Way. It appeared there was no foul play.
A City of Fruita Public Works employee reported vandalism to the bathrooms at Little Salt Wash Park with damage estimated at $300.
A citizen reported an unauthorized use of a financial transaction device with total value of services in excess of $150.
Vandalism was reported in the 300 block of Arches Drive when an unknown person threw a rock at a car causing approximately $1,000 worth of damage.
Officers were called to the Fruita Walgreens for a two-car property damage accident. A 14-year-old boy was issued a summons for unsafe backing and released to his mother.
Theodore Downey, 24, 1100 block of Windsor Park Drive, was issued a citation for disturbing the peace after officers received a report of loud music.
Officers contacted Jacob Kiser, 26, for expired license plate numbers near N. Maple and E. Pabor Avenue. Kiser was issued a summons for possession of an open alcoholic container, expired plates, and driving with a suspended license.
A single-car rollover traffic accident occurred at 19 Road and Hwy. 6&50. The driver abandoned the vehicle.
Officers responded to a report of a suicidal man in the 200 block of N. Mesa Street. He was transported to Colorado West Mental Health for an evaluation.
A welfare check was made in the 700 block of Yew Street.
An officer responded to the 1100 block of Woodland Avenue where an intoxicated woman was threatening suicide. She was taken into protective custody and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
Shawn Russell, 29, 600 block of E. Aspen Avenue, was issued a summons for allowing his dogs to run at-large in the area of Aspen Avenue and Cedar Street.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Yew Street to a reported overdose involving an adult female.
The theft of two handguns was reported in the 100 block of N. Maple Street.
Auto theft was reported in the 1100 block of E. Carolina Avenue. Marcus Vawter, 19, was contacted and cited for possession/consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person.
